In line with our action- and practice-oriented training concept, this area is designed to cover the entire value chain of modern automation technology – from basic electrical engineering through sensor technology, control and regulation systems, PLC programming, industrial networks, all the way to Industry 4.0 solutions, robotics integration, process optimization, and sustainable system maintenance.

The training station combines electrical engineering, automation, digitalization, sensors/actuators, programming, occupational safety, knowledge of standards (VDE, DGUV, EMC), troubleshooting, project work, and entrepreneurial thinking in a consistently realistic learning environment.

Depending on personal interest and career goals, specialization is possible – for example in PLC programming, robotics, Industry 4.0, process automation, drive technology, or maintenance & optimization.

Practice-Oriented Learning Along Real Work Processes

With the fully equipped training workshop, participants gain genuine practical experience in all typical activities of the profession:

- Analysis of electrical systems, functional testing and systematic troubleshooting

- Planning, wiring and installation of automation components

- Setup, programming and parameterization of PLC controllers (e.g. Siemens S7 compatible)

- Integration of sensors, actuators, drives and industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet, IO-Link)

- Commissioning, testing and handover of automated systems

- Measurement, testing and diagnostic work in accordance with applicable standards

- Professional use of hand tools, power tools, measuring and testing equipment as well as diagnostic software

- Working with control loops, robotics elements, process control technology and Industry 4.0 components

- Fundamentals of cybersecurity, data protection, energy efficiency, protective measures and occupational safety

- Documentation, function plans, commissioning protocols and customer-oriented handover

Extensive Equipment for Realistic Training

From drilling machines, screwdriver sets, stripping/crimping pliers to high-quality measuring and testing technology (multimeter, oscilloscope, caliper, feeler gauge) all the way to modular training systems (PLC stations, sensor/actuator modules, robotics interfaces, network simulators) – everything enables both basic training and advanced applications in PLC programming, robotics integration, process automation or Industry 4.0 projects.

KEY FEATURES :

- Designed for approx. 18–24 trainees

- The training station includes more than 250 practice-relevant individual components and tools, specially tailored to the requirements

of the training occupation Electronics Technician for Automation Technology.

- Working in small groups (6–8 persons per workstation)

- Combination of stationary workplaces, mobile training modules and workshop workstations

Together with the equipment, we provide a fully developed training concept that covers all learning fields – from basic electrical engineering through complex automation and control systems.

Competence Framework – Structured in 6 Learning Areas

1. Electrical & Automation Fundamentals (EF) : Basics of electrical engineering, system analysis, sensors/actuators, standards

2. Control & Programming Systems (CS) : PLC programming, control engineering, controller implementation, networks

3. Measurement, Testing & Diagnostics (MT) : Measurement and testing procedures, troubleshooting, commissioning, documentation

4. Equipment, Safety & Compliance (ES) : Tools, machinery, occupational safety, regulations, standards compliance (including cybersecurity)

5. Project Work, Integration & Business Basics (PB) : Project planning, system integration, customer orientation, cost awareness, order processing

6. Professional Skills & Future Technologies (PE) : Teamwork, personal responsibility, problem solving, Industry 4.0 / IoT, preparation for profession & examination

Your Added Value Beyond the Training Itself

Beyond pure training purposes, the stationary workshop offers your institution the opportunity to generate self-sustaining revenue through practice-oriented services such as:

- Advanced training for skilled workers (e.g. PLC certificates, Industry 4.0)

- Retraining programs

- Preparation for master craftsman or state-certified technician examinations

- Cooperations with regional companies (e.g. prototyping, commissioning support, small automation projects)

The entire facility is designed for long-term stationary operation: robust workbenches, professional tools, practice-oriented modules – developed for sustained use in training and qualification.

The equipment can be individually adapted to your curriculum, your training level and your focus areas.
